Bart C. commented on "Grus leucogeranus Pallas 1773":
A couple of years back an other important stopover place during migration for this crane species was discovered in Faku county, not far from the Liaoning Provinces capital Shenyang. With up to 2000 birds. At the moment the location is not protected yet. Professor Zhou of the University of Shenyang is taking the initiative to make politicians and locals aware of the importance. Recently he organized a International Siberian Crane Festival. See the blog of Terry Townshend for more info (http://birdingbeijing.com/2012/04/12/international-siberian-crane-festival-faku-county-liaoning-province/)
