Meoneura flavifacies is a frequently collected species which often occurs on grass and waysides. Larvae develop in faeces. In pan trap studies this species prefers white pans followed by blue, yellow and green. In Britain collected May-September, in Germany end of April till October with two peaks of flight activity, one at the end of May and the other in early July (Brake 1997). In Greece specimens were collected in March-June in yellow pans; 40-1600 m. In the Netherlands specimens were collected May-September in window and Malaise traps.
