Range Description

This is a very widespread species. It is found in central, northern, southern and south-western China (including Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau), and through mainland Southeast Asia, south to northern Peninsular Malaysia. It has been recorded from a single locality in the north of Sumatra (Indonesia). It occurs up to 2,000m asl. The boundary between this species and Microhyla ornata is not clear, but has been arbitrarily set at the western border of Myanmar, pending further information.
