Range Description

This species appears to be endemic to the Ethiopian Rift Valley where it is confined to a small part of the Upper Awash Valley (Lavrenchenko et al., 1998). All known examples were captured on the eastern bank of Koka Lake and Awash National Park. More recently recorded on Lake Zeway shores (unpublished data). It has been collected at 1,500 m asl.
