Range Description

Currently known from the Beza-Mahafaly region in south-western Madagascar, where thought to occur south of the Onilahy River and west of the Linta and Menarandra Rivers. The northern extent of the range is unknown. Formerly, the sportive lemurs from the Beza-Mahafaly region were thought to be L. leucopus, and it remains unclear how the distributions of these two species relate to each other.
