Description

Bufo cycladen is a small (males to 54 mm, females to 62 mm SVL) and locally distributed member of the Bufo coccifer group that is distinguished from all other members of the group by its relatively small size, its generally large, scattered, rounded tubercles on the middorsum, it large and spinose tubercles on the dorsolateral, lateral and ventral surfaces and weakly developed or absent parietal crest. It has large parotoid glands and has dark brown spots scattered on the venter.
