Range Description

The species is found in dry forests on the lower slopes (below 500 m asl) of Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, through the lowlands to the eastern slopes (below 1,100 m asl) of Serrania de Perija in Colombia (Alberico et al., 1999). The species is also likely to be found in adjacent Venezuela, and perhaps wider in northern Colombia.
