Range Description

The New Caledonia Wattled Bat is endemic to the island of Grande Terre, New Caledonia (Flannery 1995; Simmons 2005), where it is currently known from a roost site in each of three towns: Hienghne (North Province), and Pata and Sarrama (South Province). Further survey work is likely to find other colonies of this species on Grande Terre (F. Brescia pers. comm.).
