Habitat and Ecology
There are no habitat data available for this species, although it is thought to occur at around 40 m depth (G. Raybaudi and E. Monnier pers. comm. October 2011). When live specimens are found, it will be possible to study the species' relationship with Conus cinereus from Indonesia. Typical adult size for this species is between 18 - 25 mm (Poppe, G. T. and Poppe, P.)

Threats

Major Threats
This species only occurs in a small area and may therefore be susceptible to any natural or anthropogenic disasters. However, the area where the species occurs is not affected by any pollution, and there is also hardly any collecting of this species. It is therefore likely that there are no threats to this species although it is impossible to validate this information as the species is only known from dead specimens and we have insufficient knowledge on the ecology of this species to assess threat impacts.

Wikipedia

Conus chiapponorum

Conus chiapponorum is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Conidae, the cone snails and their allies.[2]

Like all species within the genus Conus, these snails are predatory and venomous. They are capable of "stinging" humans, therefore live ones should be handled carefully or not at all.
