North American Ecology (US and Canada)

Cyllopsis pyracmon is resident to southern Arizona and New Mexico and ranges south to Guatemala (Scott 1986). Habitats are mainly upper Sonoran zone oak and pinyon woodland. Host plants are unknown, but probably grass. There are two flights each year with the approximate flight times mostly May1-June 30 and Aug.1-Sept. 30 (Scott 1986).
