Range Description

This species is endemic to New Zealand. It exists in the southeastern corner of the South Island from Otago, Southland, to Stewart Island. Recently, this species is rarely encountered in Canterbury (S. Parkyn pers. comm. 2008). The Extent of Occurrence (EOO) of this species has been estimated to exceed 40,700 km2.
