Small species with agglutinate test, in general appearance similar to Difflugia but with filopodia. Test: firm, chitinoid or completely covered with attached quartz grains. Shape often variable ovoid to subspherical. Feeding: herbivore. Species of this genus can be found in freshwater, soil and marine littoral sands. About 20 species, often with incomplete descriptions. Type species: Pseudodifflugia gracilis Schlumberger, 1845.Trusted
