General Description

 Pyripora catenularia is an encrusting bryozoan forming long, branched chains of zooids spreading over the substrate. Colonies are white in colour and occur from shallow subtidal waters down to 500 m

The species is widespread in the Mediterranean and eastern temperate Atlantic, from the coasts of Norway, the Faroes and the British Isles.
