Range Description

This species is circumtropical. It is widespread in the Indian and tropical Pacific, as well as the Caribbean and Mediterannean. This species is found in the Indian Ocean, including Andaman Islands, India, and Indonesia. It is found along the African east coast from South Africa, north to the Red Sea, Arabia and the Persian Gulf, and eastward, from Australia to Japan, and to Hawaii and throughout the south Pacific islands.
