Red fruit bearberry occurs from Alaska east to Greenland and Newfoundland and south to British Columbia and high-elevation mountains in Maine and New Hampshire [40,44,74]. Its southern distributional limit is about 53 °N [74]. Rare, isolated populations occur in Wyoming [14,39,44]. Red fruit bearberry also occurs in Eurasia [1,40,74].
