Global Range: Southern California on Santa Catalina and San Clemente Islands and on coastal hills in San Diego Co. from San Clemente and Oceanside and from Del Mar south; also Mexico in northwestern Baja California (Benson, 1969). In northwest Baja California at least to El Rosario (Moran, 1966). Mainland U.S populations add up to approx. 390 sq mi; adding in the island occ's adds another 50 sq mi. True extent of Baja occurrences unknown.
