Verbascum sinuatum is a yellowish-grey tomentose biennial herb with erect stems branched from the base. The basal leaves 10-40 x 5-15 cm, oblanceolate to elliptic, sessile, with sinuate-lobed or crenulate margins, while cauline leaves decurrent or not, with coarsely dentate or nearly entire margins. The flowers are yellow and arranged in remote clusters of 2-7 flowers. The fruit is a subglobose, mucronate, stellate-tomentose capsule.
