Range Description

This species is widely distributed, occurring in the Mexican states of Chihuahua, Coahuila, Baja California, Baja California Sur and Sonora, and in the United States in Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah (Hernández et al. 2004). It grows at elevations of 800 to 2,300 m asl.
The occurrence of the species in the Baja Islands needs to be confirmed.
