Range Description

This wide-spread species occurs in central, north and north-east of Mexico, and adjacent Texas and New Mexico in the United States (Taylor 1985). It has been reported from the Mexican states of Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, Tamaulipas and Zacatecas, and in New Mexico (two locations) and Texas in the United States (Hernández et al. 2004). It grows at elevations of 0 to 1,700 m asl (Blum et al. 1998).
