Range Description

This wide-spread species occursin central, north and north-east of Mexico, and adjacent Texas and New Mexico in the United States (Taylor 1985).It has been reported from the Mexican states of Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Nuevo Len, San Luis Potos, Tamaulipas and Zacatecas, and in New Mexico (two locations) and Texas in the United States (Hernndez et al. 2004). It grows at elevations of 0 to 1,700 m asl (Blum et al. 1998).
