Range Description

R. austriaca is native to central, eastern and southeastern Europe, as well as to temperate Asia (USDA, ARS, National Genetic Resources Program 2010, Marhold 2011). The species is widely distributed in Slovakia (Tomovic and Goliaov 2002), Hungary (So 1966, Simon 1992) and Germany (Bundesamt fr Naturschutz 2010). Further research is needed to gather information about the precise distribution of this species throughout the rest of its range.
