Range Description

This species is endemic to the West Indies, reported to occur in Cuba and the Bahamas Archipelago (Biminis, Berry, Andros, Grand Bahama and Abacos islands) (Hitchcock 1936, Correll and Correll 1982, Clayton et al. 2002, Zuloaga et al. 2003, Azevedo-Rodríguez and Strong 2012).

The extent of occurrence (EOO) is based on four collections, but is an underestimate of the true extent as no representative collections from the Bahamas could be found. If localities from the Bahamas were included it would make the EOO larger than the Vulnerable threshold (20,000 km2).
