Catharanthus roseus (Madagascar Periwinkle) is a species of shrub in the family Apocynaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Southern Asia. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Phocides pigmalion, Monk Skipper, Lime butterfly, and Catochrysops strabo.
