General DescriptionVery similar to G. williamsii; There are no obvious consistent differences between these two species. Handfield (1999) states that the hindwing ground colour in williamsii is pink, as opposed to yellow-orange in celia. However, Alberta populations of williamsii often have yellowish hindwings, especially those in prairie habitats. The one specimen in the Bowman collection labelled as celia is from Nordegg, and has entirely black hindwings.
