Comments: Munz (1959) included Linanthus rosaceus in L. androsaceus ssp. croceus, which Kartesz (1999) includes in L. parviflorus (Kartesz (1999) does not place the name L. rosaceus). The morphometric analysis of Battaglia and Patterson (2001) supports acceptance at the species level; they place it in the genus Leptosiphon.
