DescriptionMostly climbing herbs. Leaves usually triangular and palmately veined, alternate, at least above. Flowers axillary, showy. Calyx 5-lobed. Corolla 2-lipped, white, pink, purple or blue; tube slightly gibbous; throat lacking a palate. Stamens 4. Capsule with 2 equal cells.
Differs from Antirrhinum in the climbing habit, the palmately-veined leaves, the lack of a palate (in most species) and the equal cells in the capsule.
