Fagonia arabica is a perennial, low shrub that reaches up to 20-60 cm, and entirely covered with sessile or stalked capitate glands, often with adhering sand grains. The stems are terete, striate with stipular spines. The lower leaves are 3-foliolate, while the upper ones are 1-foliolate or 3-foliolate with narrowly-elliptic to linear, mucronate leaflets. The flowers are with pinkish-violet or mauve petals. The fruit is a pubescent and glandular capsule.
