Overview
Brief Summary
Introduction
There are 43 valid described species of Chalarus. There are only three regional keys that provide useful keys to this genus (Jervis, 1992; Morakote & Hirashima, 1990; Rafael, 1990). Kehlmaier has just started to take a closer look at the systematics of this group .
These tiny flies are mostly parasitoids of Typholcybinae (Cicadellidae).
