Description

It is an annual or short-lived perennial aquatic herb with stems that reach up to 1 m long. The floating leaves may be present or absent and long-petiolate, reniform or semicircular hairy on the lower surface while the submerged leaves are short-petiolate or subsessile, with numerous capillary segments. Flowers are with white or yellow-clawed petals. Achenes are glabrous or pilose, with a convex dorsal margin and a rounded or obscurely beaked apex.
