Description
Unarmed shrub or tree. Stipules small, caducous. Leaves with a single pair of large leaflets. Leaflets opposite, asymmetric, glabrous, with numerous translucent gland-dots, smelling of turpentine when crushed and with 7-12 prominent nerves arising from the point of attachment. Inflorescence a slender raceme or panicle. Flowers bisexual. Sepals 4. Petals 0. Stamens 20-25. Pods indehiscent, reniform, flattened, glandular. Seeds flattened, reniform, with numerous shining resin-glands.
