Description

It is a hispid white-warty. Stems are much-branched and erect. They are ascending or sprawling and angular. Leaves are 3-9 x1.2-3 cm., which are oblong-lanceolate. The margin is sinuate-denticulate or repand. The apex is acute and the base is attenuate. Petiole is 1.5-5 cm. Upper leaves are sessile.  Inflorescence is leafy and few-flowered. Lax in fruit. Flowers are bracteate and pedicellate. Bracts size is:(1- 4 x 0.2 -1.2) cm. It is oblong-Ianceolate. Pedicel is 3-5 mm and elongate in fruit to1cm. Calyx is 3-5 mm. It is hispid, 7-8 mm., and accrescent in fruit. The lobes are lanceolate. Corolla 6.5-9 mm. which is pale yellow and hypocrateriform. Tube is 5-6 mm. Scales are exserted, oblong and velutinous. The tips are curved outwards. Limb is 5-7 mm., and lobes 1.5-2 mm., subrotundate. Stamens inserted at the middle of the tube, in 2 series of 2 and 3. Anthers are oblong-elliptic and obtuse. Ovary is ovate and glabrous. Style is 2-2.5 mm., slender and glabrous. Stigma is 2-lobed. Nutlets 4, 4-5 x 3-4 mm., which is erect or slightly oblique, ovoid, yellowish-brown, the inner face flat, the outer convex, reticulate-ribbed, glabrous and glossy.
