Range Description

This species is endemic to Mexico, is widely distributed in the southern half of the Chihuahuan Desert within Coahuila, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Nuevo Len, Quertaro, San Luis Potos, Tamaulipas and Zacatecas. It is also distributed in the southern Tehuacn Valley in Puebla and Oaxaca, where it is relatively common (Gmez-Hinostrosa and Hernndez 2000; Hernndez et al. 2004). The north and southern subpopulations are geographically isolated by the Transverse Neovolcanic Axis (Trujillo 1984). It is known from 240 localities (Hernndez et al. 2010). It is found from 1,100 to 2,400 m.
