Range Description

Austrocylindropuntia subulata is found in Peru, Bolivia and Argentina (Anderson 2001, Hunt et al. 2006, Lemke 2008), at elevations of 2,000 to 3,700 m asl. It has been introduced in Ecuador. It is also widely cultivated (Hunt et al. 2006).
