Dugesia is a genus of Dugesiidae freshwater flatworms that includes around 75 species, all of them with a similar external appearance: triangle-shaped head with two eyes, and an elongated body. The different species are classified on the basis of the morphology of their copulatory apparatus.
They inhabit and are quite common in the freshwater bodies of Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
