Justification
This species is listed as Endangered in view of the AOO estimated to be less than 500 km2, its existence at two to three locations and an observed continuing decline in the AOO, the area, extent and quality of habitat, and the number of mature individuals caused by overgrazing and hay making. The human impact on the population is strengthened by intrinsic factors such as restricted range, small population size and low density. No data are available on the state of subpopulations in Azerbaijan.

Conservation Actions
No conservation measures are in place. This species needs to be included in the national Red Lists or Red Data Books. Research on population numbers and range, especially in Azerbajan is needed, as well as research on the biology and ecology of the species, and its habitat status. Population monitoring and identification of new protected areas, benign introductions and ex situ conservation actions are all recommended.
