Range Description

Physoplexis comosa is native to Austria, Italy and Slovenia (The Board of Trustees of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew 2010) where it grows from 300 to 2,000 m altitude. Its range for Italy, Austria and Slovenia is 21,578 km² from which 21,183 km² belong to Italy (Commission of the European Communities 2009). The area of occupancy is estimated to be less than 500 km². This plant is difficult to find.
