@Paddy Patterson: What's going on is an algorithmic issue I spotted when wanting to reference this page and seeing Bacteria (Vibrio to be specific http://eol.org/pages/97174/overview) on the page. It turned out that some of the Amoeba classifications had ended up on the Vibrio page and that was causing the problem. I used the new EOL classification merge/split tool to fix the problem.

@Nathan Wilson: I don't really get what is going on here, but in reference to classifications, the ITIS classification in which I see this content is awful, as is COL, as is WoRMS. NCBI is the best of the bunch that EOL uses. Dan Lahr is pretty trustworthy on this front, and you can find his views at http://www.plosone.org/article/info%3Adoi%2F10.1371%2Fjournal.pone.0022780
