Range Description

This species inhabits the Central Pyrennean Mountains of France and Spain. The nominotypical subspecies lives exclusively in France, while Cochlostoma obscurum laburdense is recorded from both countries. According to the Inventaire National du Patrimoine Naturel (INPN) database, there are at least five known distribution records for the species in France. According to Gofas (2001, sub C. crassilabrum) there are several locations for this species in Spain, the subspecies laburdense is not treated separately.
