Range Description

Chondrina calpica calpica is distributed in some provinces of Andalusia (south of the Iberian Peninsula) and in the north of Morocco. In Andalusia, its presence has only been confirmed in the western end of Granada, Málaga and Cádiz (Arrébola and Gómez 1998; unpublished data). The records of this subspecies in Jaén (Gittenberger 1973) belong to Chondrina granatensis (Arrébola and Gómez 1998).
Chondrina calpica altenai is only known from the surroundings of Ceuta, in North Africa (Gittenberger 1973).
