Range Description

Voss et al. (1992) report this species from the North Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico and northern Caribbean. Its type locality is in the eastern north Atlantic. Because of taxonomic problems within the genus, it is difficult to elucidate its distribution beyond the type locality.
