The type locality is Sagami Bay, Japan. They occur throughout Japan and in Hong Kong.
Life History and Behavior
The egg mass is spirally coiled and contains small white spheres of extra-capsular yolk. One egg mass observed by Jensen (2003) had 6 whorls.
