Wish we had better images available to us. This image focused on Wyoming Indian Paintbrush supposedly has F. paniculata at the base.

@Tom Schweich: Your comment from 3 years ago still lives on EOL (see the Updates tab). I've looked over the EOL page and (to my surprise) we have NO information about this species from GBIF now (not sure why) and so the only source reporting the erroneous point is DiscoverLife, which presumably got it from GBIF which got it from USDA plants. I left a comment on the DiscoverLife map so that they will get news of the correction. However, until it is corrected at USDA Plants, it is likely to persist. Their page for distribution updates is here http://plants.usda.gov/du/DistributionUpdate.html . Meanwhile, I wish there were more freely re-usable info about this species.

Cyndy Parr commented on "Discover Life: Point Map of Frasera paniculata":

According to Tom Schweich on Taxacom and here, the occurrence in Nevada (which appears to be from the USDA Plants database, clicking through to the source) is erroneous, as it was actually Frasera albomarginata.

Tom Schweich commented on "Frasera paniculata Torr.":

I believe the distribution locality shown in Nevada is the result of a single mis-identified specimen (Marie Gentry #41 6/21/1941 Panaca Valley and vicinity). I have seen this collection at UC and CAS and have annotated them as Frasera albomarginata Wats. The location shown on the map is a generic location representing Lincoln County, Nevada, whereas the actual collection locality is the valley containing town of Panaca. Panaca Valley is a name accepted by the State of Nevada, and is a synonym for Meadow Valley as used by the USGS GNIS.
