Range Description

Alzoniella sigestra is endemic to Italy, and has a very restricted range to an area west of Genoa, Val Chiaravagna, where it is found in an area of less than 20 km by 10km (CK Map 5.3.8.). The type locality was springs near Sestri Ponente. Although it is restricted to the valley, there are multiple outflows (springs), where the species has been seen, so it is presumably present throughout the groundwater system.
