Range Description

C. ermineus is the only Conus species to occur on both the western and eastern sides of the Atlantic Ocean (Diaz et al. 2005). This species is found in the Caribbean on the western shores of the Atlantic from Senegal to Angola and the Cape Verde Islands (570 km off the Senegalese coast) (Rosenberg 2009).
