Range Description

This species is only known from the Sacramento River system in California. It is thought to be now extirpated from the mainstem (Hershler and Frest 1996) but still exists in small tributaries. Records from the San Juaquin River and Klamanth basin are errors, as are specimens reported from Utah (Hershler 1999).
