Range Description

Assiminea brevicula is distributed widely in Asia; India, Sri Lanka, Philippines, China (including Hong Kong), Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam, Japan and Thailand.

Within these countries it is specifically known from West Bengal, Maharashtra and the Andaman Islands in India; Manila, Luzon Island, Busuanga Island, Masbate Island, Negros Island, Samar Island, Cebu Island and Mindanao Island in the Philippines; Java, Sumatra, Brunei and Kalimantan in Indonesia; Sabah and Sarawak in Malaysia; and the Irrawaddy Delta in Myanmar (Abbott 1958).
