Reports from the Philippines are in error, as the species does not occur there (G. Raybaudi and S. Veldsman pers. comm. October 2011).

Habitat and Ecology
Current ecological knowledge regarding this species is limited. This cone snail can be found between 8-20 m in areas which are exposed to strong tidal currents (Rockel et al. 1995, S. Veldsman pers. comm. October 2011). Specialist websites indicate that this species can be found in sand-muddy substrate (Poppe, G.T and Poppe, P). Typical size for adult shells of this species is between 45-75 mm (Rockel et al. 1995).
