Range Description

Endemic to Albania and the Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), this species is restricted to Lake Ohrid, the St. Naum, Zagorican and Tusemista feeder springs of Lake Ohrid, the Drim System at least upstream to the dam Lake Globocicko (approximately 15 km north of Lake Ohrid), and to the Sum spring north-west of Lake Ohrid (Albrecht et al. 2008).
