This species can be found throughout Europe as far east as Siberia (Zettler et al. 2006). However, there are no data to support species presence within Siberia (Vinarski et al. 2007). Mozley (1936) also described this species from northern Asia. It has also been recorded in Iran (Pourang et al. 2009). In Russia, it is found throughout the European part of the state (Kantor et al. 2009).
