Urera caracasana (Flameberry) is a species of shrub in the family Urticaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to RondôNia, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Piauí, Pará, Alagoas, GoiáS, SãO Paulo, Sergipe, Espirito Santo, Amazônia, Maranhao, Mata Atlântica, Mato Grosso, Puerto Rico, Paraná, Bahia, Caatinga, Ceará, Tocantins, Rio De Janeiro, Roraima, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Cerrado, Acre (Brazil), and Santa Catarina. They have simple, broad leaves and achenes. Individuals can grow to 7.6 m.
