Baccharis sarothroides (Desertbroom) is a species of shrub in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Western North America, North America, and The Neotropics. They have simple, broad leaves, yellow flowers, and achenes. Flowers are visited by Augochlorella pomoniella, Ageniella coronata, Queen, and Hemipenthes lepidota. Individuals can grow to 3.7 m.
